Emily Jones, Director
Hi Everyone! It is such an honor to be here at CBC Preschool. I graduated with my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology in May of 2013 and began working here at Central in September of that same year. I began as a substitute/floater and moved to a position as co-teacher in the Dragonflies class. I then moved to the front office where I served as the preschool’s Administrative Assistant for two years. I was ecstatic when, in 2017, I was granted the opportunity to become the Assistant Director. In October of 2018, I became the Director. I cherish every day that I get to see your sweet little ones grow, explore, and learn about God’s love for each of them! I recently graduated from Liberty University with my Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling, and will go on to specialize in Play Therapy. I am excited to see what the Lord has in store for CBC Preschool in the coming years. I adore building relationships with each of our fantastic preschool families, and look forward to meeting new families soon! Please do not hesitate to reach out to me here at the center with any needs that may arise. Be Blessed!
Nikki Thorne,  Assistant Director
Hey, I’m Nikki! I am originally from just outside of Greenville, NC. I moved to Wendell in 2014 and I have worked here at CBC Preschool since then. Initially, I worked as an afternoon assistant for the Fireflies class, then the Crickets. In my second year here, I began working as a full time co-teacher, and in May of 2017 was asked to step in as Administrative Assistant. I have served in various ministries of my church for many years and love being able to see the Lord working in the lives of young children. I intend to go back to school in the Fall for early childhood education. I am so excited and humbled by the opportunity to work with each of your children every day, and I count it such a joy to be able to watch them explore the world around them while learning about Jesus’ love for them!

Kim Buchanan, Assistant Director
Hello! I am so excited to be working here with your adorable children and the amazing staff of CBCP. I moved to North Carolina in August of 2019. Soon afterwards we attended Central church and enrolled our youngest child into Central Preschool. We fell in love with both of these amazing ministries. – I was thrilled when I was offered the position of Assistant Director! Prior to my role here, I had taught in several childcare facilities in the infant through Pre-K classes. I have also worked in Marketing roles, which has equipped me to help spread the good news about the Preschool to other members of our community. I earned a BA in English from Rutgers University with many courses in Early Childhood education. I cherish each day that I am able to work with your children and help teach them about the amazing love of Jesus!
