Evette Orcutt

Director

Evette has been on staff at Central since 2001.  She previsouly served as  Children's Minister and Church Administrator before joining the Preschool team as Director in January 2022.  She has been invested in the preschool for the past 20 years through prayer, planning, hiring, managing the budget, and overseeing this vital ministry. 

She is a 1996 graduate of the Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, NC, with a Master of Divinity in Christian Education, and a 1990 graduate of Appalachian State University, with a Bachelor of Science in Communications.

In addition to the preschool, she also serves the church in administrative support and serves on the Strategic Planning Team of Central Academy of the Arts.

She is passionate about seeing families raise their children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord and fostering a lifelong love for Jesus in the local community.  She lives in Wendell with her husband David and they have two grown sons, David James and Daniel, as well as a toy poodle named Bentley.  Evette enjoys movies, motorcycles, and making others giggle!

Emily Bell

Assistant Director

Emily began working at Central in September of 2013.  She served in various roles in the preschool including substitute, floater,  co-teacher and Administrative Assistant.  She has served as assistant director and director for the last six years.  

She is a 2017 graduate of Liberty University,  with a Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling, and a 2013 graduate of Appalachian State University, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology.

Emily cherishes seeing preschoolers grow, explore, and learn about God’s love for each of them!  She adores building relationships with the fantastic preschool families, and looks forward to meeting new families soon!

Penny Davis

Creative Learning Coordinator

Penny Davis grew up in Texas but has called NC home since 1995. She has degrees in Music Education from Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, Texas and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. She has taught elementary music in public and private schools, served as Minister of Music and Children in several churches, been a homeschool mom, and worked with her husband in evangelism and pastoral ministry.

 Penny and her family became members of Central Church in 2019, then she came onto the church staff as Director of Children and Family Ministries in 2020. She moved over to the Weekday Preschool in September of 2021 as Assistant Director and now serves as Creative Learning Coordinator. She teaches music, art, and chapel classes and coordinates curriculum and other activities for the preschool. 

 Penny has an adult son and a high school daughter. Her husband is an evangelist who travels around the world sharing Jesus. She is an avid crafter and loves all kinds of music. She serves on the worship team at Central playing the keyboard and singing.

Amanda Glodic

Administrative Assistant..

Amanda started working at Central in June of 2022 as a floater/assistant teacher and recently moved into the role of Administrative Assistant.  She has worked with children ages 6 weeks to 12 years old for the past three years.   She has a  Criminal Justice Certification and prior to working with children, her career was in law enforcement.

She loves watching children learn about God’s love for them and enjoys watching them learn about all the exciting things Central has to offer.  She looks forward to working with and helping families and children at Central with all their needs.

Amanda lives in Knightdale with her husband, Michael.  They have one daughter, Katelyn, a granddaughter, Mallory and a grandson, Dominick, as well as two rescue pups.  She enjoys traveling and trips to the NC Coast.
