One of Maria's favorite passages of Scripture is, “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it” (Proverbs 22:6). This verse speaks to her heart because it shows the need for every child to have a solid foundation in their life, rooted and grounded in Christ. Kathy Snyder
Lead Teacher for Pre-Ks (Tigers)
Kathy is the lead teacher in the Pre-K Tigers class. She is honored that you have chosen to entrust your precious little one to her care here at Central Preschool.
As the mother of two, she completely understands the many emotions of parents, whether their little ones have been at Central for some time or they are sending them off to school for the first time. She recalls how she felt when the time came to send her children off to school. She is experiencing a season of separation again as her own young people, Meghan and Ryan, have completed their college endeavors and now, as only the Lord could have orchestrated, they each have begun the next phase of their life journey in the city of Chicago.
The Lord has given Kathy a tender heart for preschool-age children and she knows her position at Central is a “Divine” appointment. She began working with preschool-age children in 1998 and through the years, has not only been in the classroom but has also been active in many aspects of children’s and adult ministries. She and her husband, Mark, live in Wendell and are members at Central.
Kathy is committed to loving, instructing, encouraging, and guiding the children in her care. Their time together is not only spent learning to recognize our ABCs but also recognizing the need to have a relationship with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
